At a Loss for Words

I want to write you a love poem
With words so sweet and smooth
You gobble them up like chocolate
With images so hot and steamy
That chocolate will just melt away

I want to be able to do all that—I really do
But somehow the words won’t come
The images won’t spring to life
The metaphors have gone into hiding
Because all I know is how much I miss you
