often in the course
of a normal day
all i need
in order to put the words
down on paper
the electrons on the screen
is a block of silent time
to be alone with the thoughts
whirling chaotically
tornadic
tsunamic
through my mind
and so i search
for something to hear
something to watch
something to save me
from my own musings
and let me dwell safely
in the words of others
